Some new arrivals

The Heath’s resident Kingfisher pair have recently become proud parents to two chicks. Born a few weeks ago in a specially designed nesting box on Bird Sanctuary pond, this is proof that wildlife will thrive even in testing conditions – with construction work in the vicinity. The fledgling Kingfishers have already left the nest to start hunting fish.

Last week, our ecologist captured these amazing photos of one of them in flight at the Model Boating Pond.

They were spotted again yesterday on Hampstead No. 2 Pond.
