The temporary sheet pile dam at Model Boating Pond is nearly finished. It should be complete by the end of this week and when finished, the water at the southern end of the pond will be drained down so that the existing dam can be raised.
A fish rescue operation will take place while the southern-end of the pond is being drained. Specialist contractors will be employed to carry out this work and move all fish into the area of pond which remains behind the temporary dam.
Removal of top-soil within the Model Boating Compound is also proceeding and this work will be completed within the next couple of weeks.
