Viaduct Path Diversion

Fencing around Viaduct pond has now been put up around the work compound, and the footpath along the top of the dam is temporarily closed and will be for the next eight weeks.

The below map shows the suggested diversion (blue-dotted line), across the Viaduct Bridge.

The work taking place at Viaduct includes a slight raising of the dam (200mm) and the creation of a 4m wide, grass lined spillway at the south-east corner of the pond. A new 500mm overflow pipe will also be added. Environmental mitigation includes de-silting (which will take place in winter), aquatic marginal planting and shrub planting.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
