Last week, contractors BAM Nuttall, continued to work on the temporary path which sits to the west of the work compound at Model Boating Pond.
This path will be completed by Thursday 7 May, and at this point the work compound will be closed to the public and path diversions will be in place. At the end of the project, the temporary path will be removed and the ground reinstated.
There have been a few questions as to why the work compound at this pond is so large – my earlier blog post explains the reasons behind this.
There were 21 deliveries last week, mainly of crushed stone. This was used to build the temporary path, and will also be used to build the crane platform at the south-west corner of the pond.
